Amy Lin in conversation with Thomas Mira y Lopez
April 15, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Amy Lin will read from her debut, Here After: A Memoir. Author Carmen Maria Machado has praised the book, saying “How gorgeously Here After tackles the twin specters of grief and survival; a steely, symphonic memoir of unexpected loss–and what (necessarily, unbearably) comes next, and Lauren Groff says “It has been years since I have been so rocked, so moved, by any book, as I have been by Here After by the earthquaking new talent Amy Lin. Lin invites us into this place of exquisite pain and beauty; what a great gift she has given us.”
Amy Lin is a writer and educator who lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A recipient of residencies from Yaddo and Casa Comala, her work has been published in Ploughshares. Here After is her debut memoir.
She will be joined in conversation by Thomas Mira y Lopez. He is the author of The Book of Resting Places, and a translator from Portuguese. He is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa.
