Community Class Offering in THEATRICAL DESIGN & MUSIC

Thursdays, October 5th – December 7th rom 7pm – 8pm.

Join us at lowa Conservatory! Suitable for ages 15 – 105. We will explore the connections between music and theatrical design by looking into the History of Baroque Theatre, Naturalism, German Expressionism, and the early days of Musical Theatre. In 8 weeks, you will understand Royal Court Culture in music and performance, discover a precursor to Monty Python, learn how a German song became a Jazz standard, and debate the exact moment Vaudeville became the American Musical.
