OPEN CALL: Our first-year grad, Sammie Correa, is hosting an open call to all Iowa based artists of Latin American heritage and descent:
Si No Sanas Hoy, Sanarás Mañana, a group exhibition that brings together IOWA BASED creatives from Latin American heritage and descent. This open call is seeking works that embody the spirit of heritage and healing—whether physical, emotional, or symbolic. The idea is that visual artists, writers, and performers can feature their work in a gallery space in the Visual Art Building (VAB).
Visual artists will install their work, and writers/performers will have the option to perform their pieces during the opening reception or pre-record to play on loop during gallery hours.
Visual artists can submit 1-3 pieces of work
Writers can submit 1-3 pieces, must fit into a 3–5-minute reading
Performers can submit a 3–5-minute piece
