Iowa Writers for Palestine is hosting two drop-in sessions to write poetry in solidarity with Palestine. At the end of each session, we’ll submit our poems to Iowa City Poetry in Public. Poetry in Public selects poems by Johnson County residents of seven lines or less to be published around Iowa City. Through our poetry, we’ll remind the City of its commitment to a ceasefire and put our solidarity in writing.

Sessions will be hosted by local writers and poets. You can attend an entire session or come for as long as you wish. RSVPs are appreciated but not required; to RSVP, email iowawritersforpalestine@gmail.com. Please send any accessibility needs to the same email. We look forward to writing with you!
