For a celebration of Women’s History Month in March, let’s do a craft to recognize Maria Sibylla Merian, one of the most influential female scientists in entomology (the study of insects). Her illustrations and observations of the life cycles of insects, particularly moths and butterflies, greatly helped people to understand metamorphosis. We’ll have designs to color and arrange to create a botanical drawing-style collage!

Sunday Fun Days are suitable for all-ages, but younger children should make the crafts together with caregivers. One craft per child please.
