Join us for the exciting World Club on the third Tuesday of every month! Each month we will explore a unique world culture through fun stories, games, crafts, activities, or even delicious food. All children under 12 and their caregivers are welcome!
This year the Chinese Lantern Festival or Yuan Xiao Jie (元宵节) will be celebrated on February 24th. It marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and the end of the Chinese New Year celebration. On the night of the Chinese Lantern Festival, streets are decorated with colorful lanterns, often with riddles written on them. People eat sweet rice balls called tangyuan (汤圆), watch dragon and lion dances, and set off fireworks (from https://www.chinahighlights.com). Join us in today’s World Club for a joyful festive celebration! Together we will make lanterns, play riddles and taste the special holiday dessert tangyuan. Plus, winners get a prize for every riddle they solved!
