Downtown Iowa City Block Party
With Flint Eastwood, Sister Wife, and more TBA
Saturday, June 23 from 6 to 10 p.m. | FREE and open to the public
The Englert is proud to partner with the Iowa City Downtown District again to present the 2018 Downtown Block Party on Saturday, June 23 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Last year, roughly 30,000 people gathered in Downtown Iowa City for the first-annual Block Party, which featured free live music from Caroline Smith, MAIDS, and more; outdoor games, and community fun. This June, the Downtown Block Party will return with performances from past Mission Creek performers Detroit-based indie rock band Flint Eastwood and Rock Island indie pop duo Sister Wife (stage located at Linn and Washington intersection).

Schedule and additional performers and events to be announced. See all about the Block Party here…

Through a collaboration with Think Iowa City, Iowa City Area Development Group, Iowa City Area Business Partnership and the Iowa City Downtown District, we're providing continued updates and resources for COVID-19 related information. Thanks to the support from MidWestOne Bank, West Bank, GreenState Credit Union, Great Western Bank, Hills Bank, Two Rivers Bank, U.S. Bank and CBI Bank Trust, Johnson County and other area partners, the Project Better Together team has created a community-wide Shop Local program to help encourage and motivate local spending at Johnson County local businesses. Starting June 22nd, for every $150 spent shopping local, receive a $20 gift card of YOUR choice to a local business.
